Questions
Interior design in Nairobi FAQ
How much does interior design cost in Nairobi?
Design fees in Nairobi typically run KES 1,500–10,000 per square metre, and a full furnish-and-fit ranges from a few hundred thousand to several million shillings. We give a free, itemised quote before any work starts, see our interior design cost guide for real KES ranges.
Are you a full interior design company or just decorators?
Both. Hauzisha Interiors is a full-service interior design and decoration company, we handle space planning and design, then source furniture and finishes and manage the trades through to installation.
Do you work outside Nairobi?
Yes. We're based in Westlands, Nairobi and design for clients across Kenya, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu and beyond. Concept work is remote; we travel for installation.
How long does an interior design project take?
Your first design concept lands within about 7 days. A single room takes 2–4 weeks; a full home or office fit-out usually runs 6–12 weeks depending on scope.
What are the four types of interior design?
Broadly: residential (homes and apartments), commercial (offices, retail, restaurants), hospitality (hotels, short-lets, spas) and the decoration/styling of an existing space. We work across residential and commercial, from affordable refreshes to luxury fit-outs.
