Single rooms and bedsitters are rare, but you can get one at about Ksh. 4,000 and Ksh. 7,000 respectively.
Most houses in Syokimau are apartments/flats in gated communities, especially in the areas closer to Mombasa Road.
Bungalows on 1/4acre land with a building size of 200 m² are found on Katani Road and areas not close to the main highway.

- Syokimau is one of the fast-growing areas, and it has seen an increase in rental prices within the past 3-4 years.
- Syokimau's proximity to companies such as the Standard Group has increased the demand for houses, thus pushing up the cost of the rent.
